Our Practice
Nestled in a charming yellow cape on Ocean Street — minutes from Brant Rock and Rexhame Beach — South River Veterinary Hospital has been a cornerstone of South Shore pet care since 2014.
We've made a deliberate choice to remain small. Small means knowing your pet by name, remembering their quirks, and noticing the subtle changes that matter. Our team forms a genuine connection with every patient and family that walks through our door.
Our facility pairs a warm, home-like atmosphere with state-of-the-art medical care. You'll find a welcoming garden entrance, a low ramp designed for older dogs, and a team that treats every animal as if it were their own.

Veterinarian & Owner
Trained at Colorado State University, mentored in oncology and compassionate care. A New England native who has owned South River Vet since 2014.
Practice Manager
MS in Conservation Biology, 14+ years managing complex operations. Heather ensures every visit runs smoothly and every patient feels at home.
Front Office Manager
A Marshfield local for 25+ years, Deb has been the warm familiar voice welcoming clients since 2016 — with a ranch background and a big heart for animals.
Client Care Coordinator
With us since 2016, Linda volunteers at a local animal shelter and lives in Duxbury with her dog Xander. Her warmth puts every client at ease.
Our full team also includes certified veterinary nurses Sarah, Maddy & Joanne, veterinary assistants Aryana, Lucy & Kerri, and client care specialist Chris — plus our beloved mascot, Gigi.
Hospital Mascot
Say hello to Gidget "Gigi" Berman — our fawn French Bulldog born in September 2021. She took the reins from the beloved Charli (2011–2021), who kept a watchful eye on the team for a full decade. Gigi makes sure every patient feels a little more at home the moment they walk in.
